The Verbal Sentence

Verbal Sentence: الجُملَة الفِعلِيَّة Al-jumla al-fi’liyyah

These are sentences that begin with a verb.

The verb is similar to the English verb, but has 3 tenses: past فِعل مَاضٍ fi’lun maḍin, present فِعل مُضَارع fi’lun muḍāri’in, and command tense فِغل أَمر fi’lu amrin.

The future tense is shown by adding the س or the word سَوفَ before the present tense verb. For example:

I will go

سَوفَ نَلعَبُ

We will play

I will read
